What?? What?s that?
Well, a brand is how people come to know you. Uniquely you!
?Doesn?t my company do all that logo and branding and marketing stuff for me??, you ask.
Yes, for the company product/service and business opportunity. You should use it, but also brand yourself!
Why? Well, what if you change companies, for whatever reason? Or your company goes out of business one day, like mine did, or they terminate you? It has happened to people.
What do you have left? You have your name, your reputation, your contact info, and you have what makes you unique. THAT will go on. That will continue in their minds. IF you?ve built it.
If you?ve become the weight loss expert, who blogs and speaks and sells Product X, and you discover they?ve become unethical, or you find a better product, you can take your audience with you to your new line.
Did you know that many people join a company more because they want to work with a certain sponsor, than the company itself? They like you as a leader. They know, like, trust you, and want to learn from you.
Another reason to brand yourself is if your prospect knows 11 other Avon or weight loss distributors. Why buy from you? What sets you apart? Your great service? Friendliness? Product knowledge? Or you?ve been in their shoes: you know the road to losing 30 pounds. What do YOU specialize in? ________________
OK now, how do you consistently communicate your uniqueness?
You can do it with your photo, tagline, story, introduction, speaking, website, social media, and materials.
